Reviews are sometimes more than just the numbers...

Let me preface this by saying - I truly was excited by all these top reviews, but sometimes numbers are just that...numbers. I've gotten five stars, five cherries, five divas, so why am I quoting this reviewer who only gave me 'Four' ANGELS? Well, because despite the lower rating, I was excited because she 'got' it ... my voice,  my style, the effort I put into choosing each word, and developing each character.

This was a very difficult book to write, not only because of the logistics of Mira and three men participating in sex, but primarily because the men had all given up their emotions years before. It's hard to develop character without emotion, and I wanted, no, needed to make the reader care about each one eventually. The pages are chock full of sex, but this reviewer also read beyond all that, noted my effort, and I thank her for it.

I'd like to thank all the reviewers for their kind words. I'm not sure you realize how much your words are taken to heart by the authors. I seriously consider all your comments and hope with each book I write, I'm addressing any of your concerns.

4 ANGELS: "Sultry Santorini Sunsets is a delightful, unique twist to our fascination with the wondrous lost paradise of Atlantis. In beautiful detail, a teasing sample of the Aegean and its splendor is opened up for the reader in this sensuous tale that exceeds sultry and explodes right into full-blown eroticism like a comet. Eliza March blends words like an ancient mystic casts spells, capturing readers with her craft and tantalizing vocabulary. Ms. March grants her readers plenty of sensual passion and personality in all of her characters and in how they complement one another...there is an individual sincerity to the protagonists and just the right amount of heart to entice our romantic sides. Combined with the encompassing heat, Sultry Santorini Sunsets is a definite page-turner." -- Cris, Fallen Angel Reviews

  1. Congratulations on the wonderful review! There's nothing like a reviewer who gets the story you're trying to tell and enjoys your voice.

  2. There is nothing better than a reviewer who actually gets your work - who really read the story and didn't just skim. I love an honest review!

  3. Thanks for stopping by and commenting, Julia and Paris. I write stories and characters I love, but what good is it if there's no one who can appreciate the story with you. I'm so thankful there are people I'm pleasing with my books.

  4. Amazing how you just love some reviews more than others. Although 5's are nice, knowing why rated your story high is worth getting 4's. That's why I praise all my reviews that take the time to tell me what they got and even what they didn't.
Congrats, Eliza. This book is moving on up my
    TBR list.

  5. Thanks, Catherine. You're so right. Every reviewer works hard to evaluate and write honest evaluations of the books they review and deserve a high five themselves!

  6. I received my TRS yahoo digest today. One of the posts was from you asking us to stop by and post about our fantasies.

I have always fantasized about Lora Leigh's Breeds. I could never decide between a white bengal prime or a black panther prime. Maybe I don't have to decide maybe I could have both of them awaiting my every wish or command. I can just see us all in that hot tub!!!!!!!!!!

  7. The Lion, The Leopard and The Wolf looks delicious. I'm just gonna go check it out. It looks like it just might make that TBR mountain of mine which I have a wps file for, it's up to 1183 entries, I just might have to learn to mountain climb sooner than expected. LOL
