How do you begin #writing #pantser #plotter

Start with a rugged man, great lips, and shadows...
Do I want to know his name? Does he want to know mine?
It's cold out. And if just his look can heat me this well ... he's exactly what I need on this cold day.

How often does a story begin with a single thought? A photo? A scent?

Authors are capable of spinning one thought into the next. and the next. Curious beings anxious to see where the story road leads.

Yesterday, I read an article that recommended outlining, planning, organizing for quicker results. I'd like to try that but when I begin the hypothesis sentence, I begin wandering down that winding story road ... like Alice in Wonderland, I investigate each rabbit hole, every teacup and mushroom. Someone save me from this fantasy and help me put it on paper!

Saturday I'm going to another #Scrivener class. It's the one thing that keeps me focused.

  1. I am in awe of the imagination it must take to put pen to paper and create something that grabs a reader by the throat, and doesn't let them go till the very last page.

Keep doing what you do so well. I love your books!!
