Thought For Today

"I strive to be as good a person as my dogs thinks I am." Unknown

That is sooo not going to happen. There's no way! Their tails wag when I open my eyes. I see expectation shining in their bulging eyes. I move and their bodies wiggle, I stand and they bow and stretch.

How can any mere mortal live up to that?

Positive Thought for Today

~~~I couldn't leave you all frustrated with only that Stupid Rant ... so here's an inspirational thought from an unlikely source, a true poet of his time. LOL
Thought for the Day:
"Champions aren't made in gyms. Champions are made from something they have deep inside them: A desire, a dream, a vision. They have to have last-minute stamina, they have to be a little faster, they have to have the skill and the will. But the will must be stronger than the skill." ~~~Muhammad Ali
...and yes this is so true. Eliza here signing out for today!
Stupid Wednesday Mindless Ravings
Okay it's Wednesday and frankly I was worried that I wouldn't have anything to write about under my heading "Am I the Only One Who Sees The Stupidity in This?"
But alas no! At the last moment, our government pulled through for me... Good Lord ! Can you believe this story? Really? What more can I say? ~~~ Eliza
Doe! Deer Rescuer Threatened With Criminal Charges
After being rescued, Sunny the fawn faces euthanasia, while Sunny's rescuer is threatened with jail time.
Leslie Cain thought she was doing the right thing when she saved an orphaned baby deer she named Sunny. Investigators from the Ohio Department of Natural Resources, however, were of a different opinion. Cain is under criminal investigation and faces 60 days in jail and a $500 fine after investigators learned that she had found Sunny in a subdivision in Ohio and took her across state lines to a farm in central Kentucky.
Say what?
Turns out, it's against the law to transport orphaned deer for fear of spreading disease. What's more, investigators have told Cain she needs to help them locate Sunny so the fawn can be euthanized. So far, Cain says she wants to cooperate, but claims she wouldn't be able to find the farm she brought Sunny to because she brought the fawn there at night (why she can't simply ask the friend of a friend who originally gave her the information for the location is a mystery). The outcome of Sunny's saga remains to be seen. Sunny, if you're reading this – make a run for it!
~~~~~ See, what did I tell you? I've been very busy this week and still before a week had passed, this slaps me in the face...another excellent example of REDICULOUS MINDLESS ... S%*T ~~~~Eliza, ranting

Wednesday Rants ... Music Free Radio

Has anyone else noticed when you get in the car and turn on the radio, there's nothing but jabber, jabber, jabber? Or that everyone's full of their own opinion and feels the necessity of spewing it all over you?

I want music BACK on the radio.

Somedays I... no, make that most days... I am reminded of my favorite fairytale..."The Emperor's New Clothes" Why, you may ask?

Here's why ...

I believe I'm just like the little boy sitting on top of his father's shoulders exclaiming, "Oh, why is everyone clapping? The Emeror is naked!"

If you want interruption free radio on your computer I recommend Pandora Internet Radio

Come back next Wednesday and I'll comment on some other obvious thing I noticed that no one else will talk about. I welcome suggestions or observations. I'd like to know I'm not the only one in the crowd who has decent vision.
