      YOU’RE entitled to panic when . . .

·       You go to close your manuscript in Word and it asks you if you want to save any changes and you swear you didn’t make any.

·       You get up during the night, don’t turn on the light and step in something wet

·       Worse yet ... something scurries over your foot

·       Or you walk into a spider’s web large enough to be a curtain

·       Or you bump into someone and remember no ones home

    Now, here are some alcohol induced panic moments:

·       You roll over in bed and you don’t recognize the person beside you

·       You turn to the other side and there’s someone else laying there you don’t recognize

·       You walk outside and don’t have any idea where you are

·       It’s not the right season

·       Did you remember to put on underwear this morning?

Can you come up with any other panic moments? I bet you can!

Dont forget to order your copy of THE LION, THE LEOPARD AND THE WOLF. It will be available tomorrow from Siren-BookStrand Publishing

Have a Great Day

What Good Are Red Lights?

The only time I look forward to a red light is . . .

·       When I'm trying to finish a text or read my email

·        If Ive poked myself in the eye with my mascara wand

·       When I need to change the CD and the one I want is out of reach

·       When I ask myself, Did my cell phone just slide under the seat?

·        When the guy waiting at the corner is hotter than hell

·       When I dump my coffee all over the console

·       When I  dump my coffee all over me while Im looking at the hot guy waiting at the light

When do I want the light to stay green?

·       When the alarm went off five minutes after your appointment

·       When the guy at the corner is my ex

·       When the woman in the car next to me is the one dating my ex

·       When the woman in the car next to me is the ex of the guy Im dating

·       When the guy at the corner is someone I slept with and cant remember his name

Do you have any others? Sure you do!

Thought For The Day

 "To confine our attention to terrestrial matters would limit the human spirit." Stephen Hawking

Ive taken the liberty of expanding Stephens thought.  . . . or to confine my imagination to the concrete, the known, reality instead of possibility, fact instead of fiction . . .  suffocates my spirit. ~~ Eliza

Today Im opening my mind and allowing my imagination free reign. Im releasing a couple of characters to allow them to act out their story. So far I have a prominent middle-aged woman, the head of a huge baking system, escaping the restrictions of her position on the Greek island of Santorini, a place some believe is the remains of the lost continent of Atlantis. There to fulfill her every fantasy, she meets a younger man capable of doing just that.

Theyre ready for some conflict, and Im just the right person to deliver it in the form of two other fabulous men joining the mix. Hee, hee, hee.  Lets see them get out of this in my next book, SULTRY SANTORINI SUNSET. (See a much shorter title as I promised my fans and a lot more men.)

No Wednesday Rants - Positive Thought For The Day!

Yesterday went by without me posting a rant . . . not that there wasn't plenty to post about. After all, any time there's a new moon, negative vibes abound. Woo woo! On days like that it's best to brush the Rants away.

So let's move forward with a positive thought for today -- "There is no death in dying if you are remembered."

A friend of mine lost a dear friend, yesterday. I once found consolation in this poem, and although each person may interpret the message differently, I find it uplifting. I hope you do too.

By Anonymous

Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there, I do not sleep.

I am a thousand winds that blow;
I am the diamond glints on snow.

I am the scent on fragrant bloom;
The sunlight’s warmth at summer's noon.

Do not stand at my grave and sigh;
I am not there, I do not lie.

I am the light on ripened grain;
The gentle mist of autumn's rain.

When you wake in morn’s soft hush;
I am the swift uplifting rush...

Of quiet birds in circled flight;
I am the star that shines at night.

Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, … I did not die.

Stop and take time to notice a miracle in your life today ~~~Eliza

Thought for the Day:

"No pessimist ever discovered the secret of the stars, or sailed to an uncharted land, or opened a new doorway to the human spirit." Helen Keller

A woman who couldnt see or hear understood this concept when so many others do not. Theres no room in life for negative thoughts. Your mind believes what you tell it. Tell it whatever you want to believe and watch how fast you achieve it. ~~ Eliza March

Thought for Tomorrow

"All the resources we need are in our mind." Theodore Roosevelt

I have an early morning meeting and swear Im going to finish my revisions by tomorrow afternoon. I will not spend the day on the internet I will not spend the day on the internet I will not...

Hey, I have an idea, one of you pick a subject to entertain me when I get finished with the book. YES!

~~ Eliza J

The Emperor's New Clothes

Wednesday Rants:

Let me preface this with a disclaimer and ask you to keep an open mind. Disregard your opinions one way or the other about the woman in subject. This isn't about whether you do or do not like the woman who is our Secretary of State, but the circumstance from which I believed she triumphed. JMHO

I watched the incident when the reporter asked Hilary Clinton what Bill Clinton thought about an issue which was clearly a situation the Secretary of State should be answering. I actually loved Hilary's reaction... At first she appeared stunned, next she looked around as if the entire incident could be a joke (Was she on Punked or Candid Camera?), and then she stood up and attempted to clarify the insulting question (still disbelieving), finally Hillary stated she would not "CHANNEL" her husband's views on the subject.

"Channel" ... I'm going to use that word often from now on.

See as a writer, stuff like a single word wisely chosen excites the hell out of me. LOL LOL LOL

Hmm, I'm too easily entertained lately.

What Interests Men?

Judging by the contents of MAXIM magazine, heres what MEN value, and not necessarily in this order, but intuitively deciphered by the content:

1. SEX - Thin, scantily clad, pretty women (duh!)

2. Perfecting the One Night Stand

3. Food (DUH!)

4. Technology (Duh!)

5. ALCOHOL Various Vodkas, Beers, & Tequila (good choice)

6. Male performance enhancement information & drugs (I guess to handle #1 above, to prevent needing #2 or when drinking too much #5)

7. Very little fashion and some fragrance ( & the fashion statements are board shorts and bare naked chests the chests were okay)

8. Step by Step Instructions for producing the largest, most effective CANNON BALL splash (YES, really...)

9. Oh, and apparently they want to read about Steven Tyler instead of Liv Tyler (Whats that about?)

Its no wonder women observe men and shake their heads. I think its also the reason we find them so fascinating. Sometimes they really arent thinking about anything when you ask, and they respond, Uh, nothin.

Of course, we shouldnt judge men by the magazines they read. I wouldnt want to be judged by my magazine choices. (I’m pleading the fifth, but apparently I read MAXIM J) Would you?

If You Hate Poetry - Don't Read This . . .

My friend wrote this sometime ago and today when I read it a paranormal element of reoccurring lives and loves struck me to the core. My romantic soul couldnt resist sharing with you today ~~ Eliza

The Promise

By Maureen Sevilla

She looks to the morning sun
Feeling warmth there
Another lifetime abating

Time is relative

A life where shell possess

What should be hers by right
In another place, past sight

Hope is infinite

When tear laden eyes

Parting from youth yet alive
Turn hopeful thoughts aside

Pain is fluid

Aging souls, hope and patience

Her heart keeps beat with time
Constant signs align

Life is rich

Speaking empty words aloud
While deep within
the truth
Hides a secret mirth

Love waits

Full of hope grace faith
An eternity of endless promise.

Thought for the Day!
